QuickPilot

Terms of use

Last updated April 23, 2026

These terms govern your purchase and use of QuickPilot(the “App”) and our website at quickpilot.app(the “Site”). By downloading, purchasing, or using the App or the Site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use either.

1. Who we are

QuickPilotis an independent Mac software application. References to “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the developer of QuickPilot. Payment processing is handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd (our Merchant of Record), who is the seller of record for every direct-DMG purchase. For Mac App Store purchases, Apple is the merchant.

2. The license we grant you

When you buy QuickPilot, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the App on one Mac that you own or control. You may move the license to a replacement Mac by deactivating it from your account page first. This license is for personal or internal business use only.

3. Things you must not do

  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or rent the App or any license key.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent required by applicable law.
  • Bypass or attempt to bypass the license activation system.
  • Use the App to violate applicable laws, infringe someone else’s rights, or send unsolicited commercial communications by voice.

4. Updates

Free updates are included with every license for as long as we continue to publish the App. We may at our discretion release new major versions as separate products in the future; your existing license remains valid for the version you purchased and all minor updates to it. We have not announced any such paid upgrade at the time of writing and do not commit to one.

5. Refund policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Email hello@quickpilot.app within 30 calendar days of purchase with your license key, and we’ll issue a full refund via Paddle — no forms, no “reason required” field. Refunded licenses are deactivated.

EU / UK customers: You additionally have a 14-day statutory right of withdrawal under the EU Consumer Rights Directive / UK Consumer Contracts Regulations. By downloading the App and beginning to use it, you expressly consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal only after we have fully performed (i.e., after you have downloaded and activated a license). Our 14-day guarantee above is more generous than the statutory minimum and applies regardless of whether you have begun using the App.

Mac App Store purchases are governed by Apple’s standard refund policy, not this one. Contact Apple for App Store refunds.

6. Privacy

Our handling of your data is described separately in the Privacy Policy. Short version: we collect only what we need to deliver and verify your license. Your voice never leaves your Mac.

7. Third-party services

The App uses Apple’s on-device Speech framework and CGEvent APIs, which are governed by Apple’s terms. The direct-DMG build uses Sparkle (open source) for updates. The Site loads the Paddle Checkout script from Paddle.com when you click Buy. We are not responsible for third-party services beyond our good-faith effort to choose reputable ones.

8. Price and taxes

Prices are in US dollars unless Paddle displays otherwise based on your location. Paddle collects and remits applicable VAT, GST, and sales tax. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Voice recognition is probabilistic and will occasionally mis-match; QuickPilot is not suitable as the sole input method for safety-critical or medical applications.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to these terms or your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g., death, personal injury, fraud, or statutory consumer rights).

11. Termination

If you materially breach these terms — in particular by bypassing activation or redistributing the App — we may revoke your license. If you request deletion of your data under the Privacy Policy, this also terminates your license.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the “Last updated” date at the top and, for material changes, email existing license holders. Continued use of the App after the update means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the country and state/ province of our registered place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing any formal dispute, you agree to contact us at hello@quickpilot.app and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking an injunction for intellectual-property misuse. Consumer customers retain the right to bring disputes in their country of residence where applicable law grants it.

14. Entire agreement

These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the App and the Site, and supersede any prior communications.
